Bike Love

I have a secret little dream that I need to share with you all.  Although, biking has become a very "trendy" form of transportation as of late, I have been secretly longing for that lifestyle for quite some time.  It's so parisian and well, bohemian!  (And not to mention, you get a little extra cardio added in your day.)

And what better "biking ensemble" is there than a mini daydress, preppy belt and top knot?  Nada!

The Fireplace

When Fall comes around, I start daydreaming about having a fireplace (for winter, of course!)  This one would fit right in with the rest of our little home.

Road Trip

The hubby and I took a little road trip yesterday (isn't he so handsome - he still makes me swoon) with a stop at Rosa's for lunch, of course.

But the whole point of this said road trip was to meet the newest little Clay - Kendall!  So sweet!

Hats Off

It's a little embarrassing how many hats the hubby and I have between us, but come on - they are the perfect accessory!  Don't want to fix your hair - panama hat.  Don't know what to add to your tee and jeans - fedora.  (Those are my two favs so I'll stop there, but trust me, with our closet and overflowing "hat box", I could go on for a while.  I'll spare you!)

The only hard thing about having so many hats is finding the right way to store/display them.  Stack them or line them on the wall?

Hmm - I'm liking both!

Drooling

Trolling around Design Sponge, I found some drool-worthy interiors.  Here's a fav!

Catching Up

I've been MIA this weekend because we took a little trip out of town to visit family.  Good thing I have today off from work because man, am I tired!  I'm enjoying some "laying around time" and then I'm off to run errands.  I'll check back in with you guys a little later on today.

What did you do this weekend?  (Leave a comment below.)

Roughed Up Chic

I don't know why I'm so obsessed with the messy, roughed up, edgy but elegant look.  I guess I just love the simplicity of not trying.

And guaranteed - if I had straight hair, I would be rocking blunt bangs!  (Aww, you always want what you don't have.)

And if I colored my hair (maybe one day) I would be styling the ombre effect.

Eclectic, Grown Up

I am never let down by Lonny Mag!  And I am now on a mission to find that exact long, skinny pillow on the couch, or at least one similar.  Let the search begin!

Country-Chic Kitchen

Whenever I fantasize about my dream kitchen, I think of super modern and super shiny.  But when I really start to think about it, that's just not my style overall.  I would say that this quirky, white kitchen fits the bill perfectly.  And I never thought I would be drawn to a country sink, but I am!  And the subway white tiles!  And the white wood floors!  Ok, you get the point - everything!

The Black Blazer

The black blazer - so essential to everyone's wardrobe.  You can wear if with an itty bitty mini or a breezy maxi.   See - so basic yet so versatile.

The End of Summer

Summer is coming to an end (well, maybe - it only got to 86 degrees today, but that 106 could be creeping back up on us anytime) and I think an end of summer bash should be in the works.  (I know it was just Labor Day, but I'm talking about another end of summer bash.  We usually have "summer weather" until October, so Labor Day doesn't count.)  And not just any end of summer bash.  I'm talking about an end of summer bash held right there in that spectacular terrace.  (I'm drooling!  I mean, who lives like that?  And can I be your friend?)

Now that would be a WOW-ZA summer bash, right?

Must Sees

We don't go to the movies that often (thanks to that $10 ticket price) but it just so happens that I went twice this weekend.  Yep, twice in one weekend, when before that the last movie I can remember seeing in the theater was Black Swan.

And they were some good choices I must say - Crazy Stupid Love and The Help.  Two way different movies, but both were fantastic.  And both had the wonderful Emma Stone!  (Just love her!) I wouldn't say that my taste is for the mass public (the hubby can attest to this with all the indie films I chose on Netflix) but these two are differently crowd pleasers!

Etsy Love

I'm an Etsy lover but wouldn't classify myself as an Etsy addict.  But every time I take a little browse, I seem to find the absolute cutest stuff.  And today, while I was searching for tea towels, I found - Red Wren Designs!  Such cute and funky towels, napkins, pillows, etc.

I think those Birdie Linen Napkins are going to end up in my basket!  Perfection!
