"A portrait of my child once a week, every week, in 2014."

Smith, my dream baby, you are pretty perfect except the fact that you are hating taking a bottle.  You cry for hours not wanting anything to do with it, and then you force it down with a face of disgust.  We have been doing "bottle training" all week, and it is wearing your mama and papa out.  But when it comes down to it, I'm fine with you not taking it.  I like being able to provide for your needs, and it's our special time together.  You have the sweetest face when you look up at me while you're nursing.  I'll cherish these times we have because you won't always need me in that way, and I'll probably cry when that time comes.

(This pic is a little grainy,  but I love it so much anyway.  I love your sweet smile and your little half moon eyes!)

Smith, you are such a wiggle worm in the mornings.  You love talking, singing, marching and smiling up a storm.  (It's your papa's and my favorite time of day now thanks to you!)  We are loving this new "active" stage, but you are growing up too fast.  Two months...where has the time gone!?!

"A portrait of my child once a week, every week, in 2014."

My little one likes to nap on his stomach, and it's the sweetest thing to see his arms stretched out overhead.  (And just look at that cute bald spot on the back of his head!)

Smith, you are so precious when you sleep, and both your papa and I could stare at you for hours marveling at how wonderful and special you are.

Being a parent is an impossible love that is one of the best things in this world.

"A portrait of my child once a week, every week, in 2014."

Smith, you are 6 weeks old and the happiest little babe we could ask for.  Our morning play times are your favorite, but you grace me with that precious smile of yours all throughout the day.  You are a dream come true for this mama.
