Friday has come to our rescue at last! Doesn't that make you want to jump for joy or dance around? Well, it does me! This has been an exhausting week, but there's nothing like a little sunshine to brighten us up before the cold comes to visit again. Enjoy the weekend!
Isn't this so romantic? I mean - an elopement out in the middle of the woods with the one you love the most - come on! Does it get any better?
Don't get me wrong, I think our wedding was absolutely sublime and loved every single second of it, but I have always had this dream about getting away from all the hustle and bustle to tie the knot just on our own. (I'm pretty sure it all started out when I was sucked in by Runaway Bride. Yes, the "final" ceremony at the end with just Julia Roberts and Richard Gere with all those fall colors - eek!)
So, if I could have a second "remembrance" ceremony (we'll call it that for now - I'm still trying to find a way to have a wedding every year) for the hubby and me - it would most definitely have to be something just as intimate and charming as this session by Jill Thomas.
Aren't these images gorgeous? Although I am enjoying this wave of cold weather we are having, (it is technically "winter") I am so ready to get back to some beautiful weather that allows the outside dinning routine to return.
On the agenda for spring - as many picnics that I can cram in the schedule!
Chalkboards and chalkboard paint are definitely not new to the scene, but I am quickly becoming obsessed! The hubby and I have added one to our kitchen, and it brings so much "quirk" to the mix. It definitely adds a fun element, but it's also very practical.
I am so tempted to paint everything with chalkboard paint and live in a little artistic cave. (Ok, I'll restrain and not take it that far - I promise! For sanity's sake.)
Isn't it great to have a lazy Saturday afternoon when the weather is nasty outside?
My ideal afternoon is piling into a luscious white bed with a stack full of magazines or the trusty internet by my side. Aww - it's so refreshing! And that's exactly what I'm doing at this very moment!
Ever since the "cold" has hit us here in Texas, all I have been thinking about is cozy rooms where I can snuggle up in. (I know it's not that cold compared to some parts of the country/world, but here in Texas - it's cold!)
I love the layered look in clothing and in interiors. The colors, textures, patterns, furniture all add a hint of "richness" that make a room seem so cozy. And isn't that exactly what we want when it's cold outside? - Well, I do! Bring on those layers!
The hubby and I are in search of bar stools, and we can't seem to find any descent ones anywhere that don't cost a fortune! Maybe we are just too picky or maybe there just aren't any out there. (I'm guessing it's the former!)
We have high expectations for just about everything and can't ever seem to settle. (It did take us a good 4 months to find the right TV stand!) But we're still searching, and we'll be searching until we can find the "right" ones.
I can't decide if I like the industrial look or the mix-match, thrown-together look better. Why is it so hard?
