Happy Hour

TGIF.  These past couple of weeks have been rough...really rough, and I couldn't be happier that it's the weekend.  Lately, the hubby and I have been having more weekend dates because his school and work schedule have been a little lighter...and I'm loving it!  Breakfast date here, coffee date there, drinks with friends...sure!  I am counting down the days until graduation (2 months!) and we can be on a normal schedule together.

On to the booze...I have been all about the fruity and summery drinks (it must be the heat) and ran across this beautiful image on pinterest.  Once I found out it was a rhubarb mojito, I was sold!  I've got to try this baby out, and this weekend might be the perfect time.  (We recently got our bar cart and are in operation "stock-the-cart" phase.  Major cocktail experimentation has been going on.)

Mojitos are the perfect mix of fresh, light and tart and are my official drink of summer.  Even though I'm a cold weather gal, I definitely enjoy drinks by the pool ANYTIME.

My challenge this year is to try as many variations on the mojito as possible.  I'll keep you updated on some of my favorites.

Take It Outside

The weather this weekend has been absolutely wonderful.  It makes me want to have a picnic outside every single day.  (Too bad my allergies would be killing me after the fact.)  Oh well, let's take it outside anyways!  Who's with me?

I have to admit it, Spring has gotten to me.  (Maybe it's because we didn't have a true winter AT ALL!)  I have been obsessed with color lately and believe it or not - pastels!  Well, maybe not your "all the way pastels" pastels, but I am definitely loving a pale pink shade with a bright pop of orange.  Love it!  Want it!  Borderline obsessed with it! 

I will take that outfit, that bouquet and most definitely that cabinet.  Yep, just go ahead and pack it up and ship it my way.  I might not have a place for the little baby yet, but trust me, I will find one!

Season Change

Did Spring come already?  What happened to our winter weather that is suppose to be here from the holidays until well into February?  This is not a good situation for the wardrobe (let alone my allergies!)  What should I be wearing?  Scarves and sweaters or skirts and tank tops?  Is this back and forth messing with you just as much as it is with me?
