Confession 010: Holiday Goodies
Holiday season is quickly approaching, and one of the first things my mind goes to are the goodies. I tell myself that I will be "good" and only allow myself a couple of cheat days with a couple of treats. But then as soon as the holiday cookies get busted out, I lose all self control. A couple of days turns into everyday, and a couple of treats turns into every cookie in sight.
Why is it that just because a treat is a "holiday treat" it becomes even more desirable? (This has to be a marketing scheme - has to!) I find myself eating things that I don't even really like, but somehow can't turn down. Can anyone else relate, or am I the only undisciplined one around here?
Time to start squeezing in the extra workouts.

Confession 009: Tired
Another Monday and I am just flat out tired. As you noticed, I didn't post a lot last week because I have been so worn out. (In need of a break!) Hopefully, things will settle down a little this week, and I can sneak in a long weekend to just . . . REST. We all need that once in a while and my while is now.
Why can't we get summer breaks anymore?!

Confession 008: The Search
I have a nightly routine (yes, every single night) that includes green tea before I go to bed. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find my favorite kind anywhere lately. And I mean anywhere! I'm a little embarrassed to admit that I have stopped at every single grocery store (a little time consuming) I come across for the search and have had no luck. Today, my wonderful momma made two pit stops for the search and lucky for me, she found it! Only six boxes left in the store and don't doubt for a second that we got all six!
So here's a thank you kiss to my momma who always goes above and beyond for me - mwah!

Confession 007: Doughnuts
Sometimes I crave doughnuts. I don't know why because every time I eat them they hurt my stomach. I don't give into the craving very often, but once in a blue moon I indulge, and then end up in the same spot as always - with a stomach ache!
I think what gets me is that doughnuts give me a great nostalgic feeling that nothing else can really compete with. (Right, Andie? You know what I'm talking about.)
What's your guilty pleasure? (And just to remind you - it's Friday, calories don't count!)

Confession 005
I am not a huge fan of Christmas music, but something has come over me this year (seriously, I'm all into the Christmas spirit - this never happens) and I'm OBSESSED with Justin Bieber's "Mistletoe." How crazy is that?! I don't even like Justin Bieber, but somehow I'm always singing "Under the Mistletoe, Shautie with you . . . Shautie with you!"
It's driving the hubby crazy (so he says) but I find him singing it just as much as me. (Probably because I've flooded his mind with the tune!)

Confession 004
I have a minor obsession (ok - major obsession) with Anthropologie. I could live and get dressed in this store every day for the rest of my life. Yes, it's that bad! (I even registered there for our wedding - thanks hubby!)
OK, confession time - I can't seem to go into Anthropologie without buying something/anything. Forget needs, as soon as I walk in through the doors my WANTS takes over and I WANT absolutely everything! Yesterday it was JBrand's high-waist wide leg corduroy pants (another confession within this confession - I can't ever turn down high-waist wide leg anything) and vintage velvet ribbon. See - obsessed!

Confession 003
I have another confession for you dears - I am not (and I mean NOT) a Halloween fan! Yes, I know you get to dress up in fun costumes (just doesn't do it for me unless it's couture) and eat tons of candy (I would take a cookie over candy any day of the year) but it's just not my cup of tea.
That doesn't mean that I don't appreciate a good goth-inspired spread just like this one of Anne Hathaway in Interview Magazine. It's sublime, and I love every bit of it!

Confession 002
There's a bake-fest going on over here at the Clay kitchen, but I need to get a little confession off my chest to you guys (because I know you won't judge!) I hate the clean up! No really - hate! Most people don't mind it and can get through it because you have some yummy treats to look forward to, but I hate it almost enough to not bake ever again!
PS - Probably not, because I like cookies too much, but you get what I'm saying, right? Anyone with me?

Confession 001
Small confession for you guys ... I can't seem to throw away any of my fashion magazines - there, I said it!
Now, this wouldn't be that big of deal for the average person, but for someone who had a subscription to Vogue and Harpers Bazaar since high school, the stacks are getting pretty high.
And not to mention the fact that we have to pack them all up and lug those god-awful heavy boxes from place to place each time we move. (Thank you, honey! - Yes, even with all the complaining the hubby does when it comes to my magazines, he is still the one who carries them. What a keeper!)
But apparently I'm not the only one who collects magazines - check out above!
