A Change

I finally did it!  I chopped my hair off a couple of weeks ago and couldn't love it more!  (Here's a pic the day after it was cut.)  I haven't had short hair in 7 years and it feels so fresh and new for Fall.

I am also loving the fact that cooler weather is starting to creep in (slowly but surely we will be out of the triple digits!)  And you know what that means - bell bottoms, long sleeves and layers...yippee!  Fall is my absolutely favorite time of year, but I'm already noticing that it might be a little tricky this year with this growing bump.  I can still fit into most of my pants, but I just know its only a matter of time before my favorite high-waisted wide legs don't fit any more.  :(  And does anyone know of maternity bell bottoms?  I am definitely going to have to find a pair!

All in all, I'm excited about the new changes ahead and couldn't be happier about this little miracle growing inside me!

The Fishtail Braid

It's just way too hot to do anything with long hair.  I wish I knew how to fishtail braid, and then I would rock this style every.single.day.  Yep!  I sure would!

Braided

I have already mentioned a time or two here that I'm not the most creative and daring when it comes to my hair.  I would be classified as the boring one who can be seen wearing her hair down, in a pony tail or a top knot.  (I don't stray too far from those three!)  But, on occasion, I can be seen rocking out a braid or two or many.  (Sometimes I like to make a couple of tiny braids all over that aren't so recognizable unless you are standing right next to me.  Makes me kind of feel like a rebel!) 

I say all this to say that I would like to sport the braid more often but always feel like it makes me look like a 7 year old.  (I already have that problem and don't really need anything to add to it!)  On others I don't think it looks young at all, but bohemian, free-spirited, carefree - everything I want to be. 

Why oh why am I stuck looking like the little sister and everyone else gets to be the cool hippie?

Ombre

Are you a fan of the ombre hair craze?  I am a definite YES!  I have been debating about cutting my hair and going for the ombre look, but honestly I'm a little scared.  Wonder if I hate it.  Wonder if it looks horrible.  Wonder if . . . wait, it's just hair, right?  Nothing we do to our hair is forever.  So I might just give it a try.  Maybe I will start with a temporary dye and see if I like it first.

Retro Beauty

From the moment I saw this hairstyle on pinterest, I knew that I loved it.  Yep, didn't have to think about it, didn't have to question it - just loved it.  And now I need to 1) figure out how to create this little gem of a hairstyle and 2) figure out someplace to where it!

Long Hair

These girls are making me want to keep my long hair.  (Not to mention, I want their impeccable wardrobes as well!)  Why can't you have short hair some days, and your long hair magically grows back on others?  Why!

I am obsessed with the pixie cut!  If I was only able to pull it off, you can bet that I would be at the salon tomorrow.  And not to mention that only my two favorite actresses have been sporting the pixie for quite some time now.  Here's to Michelle Williams and Carey Mulligan - I want your hair!

Roughed Up Chic

I don't know why I'm so obsessed with the messy, roughed up, edgy but elegant look.  I guess I just love the simplicity of not trying.  

And guaranteed - if I had straight hair, I would be rocking blunt bangs!  (Aww, you always want what you don't have.)  

And if I colored my hair (maybe one day) I would be styling the ombre effect.
